SP 11 B : Is It The Will of God For Me To Do What Am Doing Now ?

 

Don't just do things because other people are succeeding by doing it ,but rather do what pleases God , that is the will of God for your life . When you do what God wants you to do , you become successful , try as much as possible to discover what God wants you to do or the will of God for your life and start doing the same , then you shall succeed doing it .  

Success comes to us in the process of time if we do what God has ordained for us to do . Whatever people do in order to be successful is usually what God has wired them for . If God has not designed you to do a particular thing , and you discover that other people are doing and succeeding in it , it does not warrant that you too will become successful by doing the same thing .

True success comes to us when we do what God actually wants us to do . When that happens , it means we are fulfilling destiny the way God wanted you to be . How do you know that what you are doing is the will of God? The following are the characteristics that determine that you are actually doing what God wants you to do . 

Talent for it 

Whatever you are doing to become successful , make sure you have the natural talents ; that is the ability to do . You are naturally crafted to do such a thing . Your talent is your God given capacity or potential that enables you to do any handiwork without stress .If you are talented in doing the very work or job you are doing , you should know that it is the will of God for you .

This means in the process of time , you will become successful if you remain consistent with what you are doing as a child of God . Whatever God gives us talent for has the in-built capacity to make us successful in the long run . 

Skilled in it 

Whatever you are skilful or have acquired the skill to do , is definitely what God wants you to do , in order to become successful in life . If you find out that you do a particular thing , profession or career in an exceptional way and the end product is exceptionally good . Then of course , you are on the right path , it is the will of God for you . You are persistent in doing it , you will become successful in the end .

You love doing it 

Whatever good job or career  you love doing , might also be the will of God for your life . Such things can eventually make you successful , if you continue doing it persistently .There are some careers that a person might have passion for , usually something he cannot do without . This is usually knitted to his or her destiny , and such things eventually bring success to the individual .

You have the means

Another thing that should help you to discover the will of God in what you are doing is when you have the means to do the very work ,job , career , profession or business that you are doing or want to venture into .  There are times when you want to venture into something because people are doing it or someone has recommended it for you to do . Yet , you lack the means to do such a business or job . 

This means you do not have the resources necessary to such a thing . When that happens , after trying your possible best to acquire the means yet to no avail , it means that ,it might be against the will of God for you . In that case , you might do as much as you can , but you might not be successful in it .

It is Genuine 

Whatever you are doing or wants to do in order to become successful in life , it must be genuine work or job . This means doing illegal work or business such as drug paddling , trafficking or indecent work like prostitution is definitely not the will of God for you .

Anything illegal , fraudulent or abysmal is against the will of God , and whatever success you get out of it is a “ bad success” and not a “  good success “ . The bible talks about good success in Joshua 1:8 “ This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

 Pray About It 

It is important that you pray to know the will of God concerning your business or work . Every child of God must be prayerful when it comes to doing any work , business , profession or career . Prayer is the most authentic way to discover the will of God for your pursuit of success . Yeshua told us about praying to discover the will of God.  “Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.” Luke 11:2

SP 10 B : Is It The Will of God For Me To Be Where I Am ?

Where are you in life ? Which location are ? Which level are you ? Is it God that has brought me this far ? If these questions are answered well , then we should understand that we are heading towards somewhere or we are not going anywhere at all . Progress in life is determined by where you start from . 

If you discover that where you are presently and what you are doing presently is not the will of God for you , then you should get ready to move to the place where God has designed for you and do the things that God wants you to do . For instance if you are a prostitute , staying at the brothel , you should know that it is not the will of God for your life . Or if you are a fraudster , staying with the gang of fraudsters , you should know that it is not the will of God for you .

If you are a drunkard always sitting at the drinking bar , you should know that is not your level . As a child of God you must understand there are some places you visit or spend time that is actually impeding your progress in life . You need to come out of all those places that seem to limit your speed of success in life and move on to your next level .   

 Your next level of life is dependent on your present level , and what you are doing presently . The place , location , and the things your are doing now , will determine your next level in life . Are you working , studying , investing, spending, praying , writing , playing , practising ,or just staying idle?  need to be at the right place , and level at the right time .

Geography 

Your geographical location matters a lot if you are to succeed in life . There are some places you are that you can never experience the success that you so much desired . Like Abraham , you need to change location before God will bless you to be successful in life .” Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing ” Genesis 12:1-2 

Some people can prosper where you are , but it does not mean you too can make it in life if you dwell there with them . God might design a locational blessing for you that you need to discover . Many years ago a certain man came to me for prayers , saying that he wanted to travel abroad to America where his friend is processing some documents for him .And the Lord told me to tell him that he should not go, that God has designed his own success in Ghana .

In fact I told that he can be rich in Ghana , because that is the will of God for his life . Two years later he came to me in a very expensive car , apparently God had blessed him according to the prophetic word I gave . I was told that he could send money to import vehicles from abroad into the country . You see, geographical blessings are very powerful especially if you have a word from God about any location or place that he wants you to be or do something and should not be underestimated in any way  . 

If you receive a revelation about a location that God designed for you , do not hesitate to go there , because that is a stepping stone to your prosperity .When God wants to bless you , he might design the blessing to meet at a certain geography and location . Like Joseph , all his dreams of success came to pass in Egypt . If he had stayed in Canaan , he would have ended up like his eleven brothers , with nothing to account for , unable to feed their families .  

 

Level 

Level is all about maturity , age , education , status , achievement and attainment in life . God wants you to advance in life to a certain level before you can be successful . Always strive to move forward in life , education , business , knowledge , and life in general . Never live a life contentment at your level ,if you want to be successful you must move on to the level where God wants you to be in life .  

That is when you become ripe for success to be achievable in your life , at times it is just a matter of age , God is waiting for you to reach a certain age , before you become successful .At times is education , God wants you to get some degrees before you become successful . That means God wants you to possess some degree of knowledge and wisdom , before he gives you the wisdom. 

For instance the bible reports that “Jesus  grew in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.” Luke 2:52

    

SP 9 B : Is It The Will Of God For Me To Be Who I Am ?

 

'' Who am I ? '' and '' is it the will of God for me to be who I am ? '' To me this is one of the  most important questions about yourself that will help you to have a healthy self image about who you are . If your self identification is clear , then you can build confidence to pursue success .For instance '' Am black and it is the perfect will of God for me ''.

It is the will of God , because God created me black . In this sense, to desire to be any other race  , either than black will impede my success level . This is because I will always use it as an excuse not to embark on any successful adventure that comes my way , especially where there are racial competitions .  

On the other hand, if I discover that who I am is not God's will , because he did not create me that way , then it is a cause for me to strive to become who God wants me to be . If you see that '' you are a drunk '' it is something that is against the will of God for your life ,and you should not accept it . Compare yourself to the word of God and you will discover yourself ; who you are according to the word of God .

'' For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. '' James 1: 23-25 

At times you find yourself doing things that change who you are , or the personality that God created you to be . If you want to maintain your self worth , you must look at yourself in the mirror of God’s word .It is only the word of God that reveals the real you according to the word of God . Without the word of God ,you cease to be the person that God created .

When a person misses out on who God created him or her to be , such a person  becomes worthless , visionless and purposeless . Such people end up doing anything , at all just to survive . Life is best lived if you are able to discover who God created you to be , like the prodigal child who came to the realization of who was “.And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,” Luke 15:17-18

The very important thing for you is to “ come to yourself “ , that is come to your senses . This is the greatest self discovery , knowing yourself the way God created you . There is a need to return back to God Almighty , who you created for he is able to fix all the broken pieces of your destiny .” And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.” Luke 1

What the prodigal son realised is that he was not created as a swine , although he found himself feeding on the husk that the swine fed on . Everyone of us must realise our true identity from God’s point of view , because he is our creator .

Whenever we discover that our present state is not the way God designed our life to be , we must act immediately like the prodigal son . He took a U-turn , and went back to the father , sure we all have our Father in heaven who is eagerly awaiting repentance . Without God a person can be dead from the will , plan and life of God for their lives . 

When God receives you , he forgives you especially when you fully repent and give your life to Christ . What is more , God gives you the best ;  “ And the son said unto him, Father I, have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry. ”  Luke 15:  21-24  

 

A journey back to our creator is the first step to success. Whenever we find our true source of success , we can succeed without stress . God is our source and the earlier we return back to him , the better our lives will be and we will be more successful in life . All God’s people who served God faithfully eventually became successful at the end . 

SP 8 B : What Time Should I Do It ?

   Whatever you want to do to be successful , you should not wait for any perfect conditions , in order to start doing it , otherwise  you will never get to do that thing . The only perfect time is your maturity ,but with that you should know that no one is ever mature enough to be successful unless they start training or working on their future success . That is why we send our kids to school when they are young , so they can learn how to do things to succeed in this world . 

So do not wait for someone who has promised to help you , or to have big money , or win a lottery ,or  to travel abroad ,or  have a big capital , a large space, a better job ,  etc , but rather start doing something on your own . When you start doing little things on your on own , you are promoting yourself to a level of success with the help of God .

Now 

You can start now , especially now that you are reading this book and getting this information . The best time to start doing something that will bring success your way is now , there are somethings you can probably do now that will bring you the desired success that you so much long for. 

Many have missed great opportunities , because they never made use of the “ now ” , such people are full of procrastination that have eaten away their success . Now missed out on now , just make sure that you make use of every opportunity that comes your every now and then . Never wait a moment to do something that you see that you can do now and at the moment .

People who are always saying later, there is more time are those who allow their success doors to close before they come to their senses . You can start doing something new about your success , when you have the available information , resources , funds , knowledge , strength , qualifications , and all it requires .  

When

The best time to start your success journey is : 

When you are strong enough to work towards your success ,

When you have the time to do what it takes to be successful , 

When you have the information needed to embark on your success venture,

When you have completed the training to do something that bring success .

When you have graduated from school and have the necessary qualifications .

When you have the necessary  resources for success .

When you have people or no people to help you , just start something on your own . 

When you are alive and healthy, do something in life .Even some sick people try to do something despite the malady . 

When people are helping you , do something to help yourself . Do not fold arms because some people are lending a helping hand to you . 

When people forsake you , don’t forsake your dreams and ambitions , be like Joseph , who became successful , despite the fact that his brothers forsook him . 

Little ,

All successful people start in a little way ,you don’t wait to have a big capital, more time , more people , more help , more labourers , more funds .You can your success pursuit with a:

Little money , it doesn’t matter how big your vision is , you must start with any scanty amount of money you have at your disposal .

Little help , you whenever people help you in a very little way , it is actually a push . You must appreciate any little help from friends and relatives . Use that as a catapult to move up on the ladder of success .

Little strength , you can start life’s success journey with any little strength that you have available . The bible talks about little that people have , yet they obey the word of God . “ I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.” Revelation 3:8

Little way ,you must know how to start in a little way , anything big always starts in a little way . All the big companies in town always started in a small way . If you want to start in a big way ,you will never start . You must understand that the take off is always small , but with time it becomes very big . 

SP 7B : Is There Something I Can Do To Be Successful ?

  

Certainly there is , if you never did something to succeed in life , you are not successful , all that have success in life , did one thing or the other to achieve success . There is a lot you can do as a person in order to succeed . So you don't sit down and fold arms thinking one day you will stumble on success miraculously or success '' manna''  will fall from heaven .

God wants us to do somethings in order to be successful , the scripture says , '' Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.'' 

Take notice of the phrase ''  be careful to do everything ''  , so you can do everything that successful people do according to the word of God and you will be successful .The following are among the number of things that all successful people do. We are basically looking at these seven things that you must do in order to be successful  :  

1. Working ,

It is of prime importance that you cultivate the attitude of working ,if indeed you want to be successful in any field of endeavour . Even the apostle Paul who was operating under the grace of God says he worked hard , in fact he used the word laboured more , to emphasise his hard work .” But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me “ 1 Corinthians 15:10 

Paul was the most successful apostle in the bible whose ministry reached out to many people and gentiles . He attributed the success to , two things , firstly the grace of God ,and secondly hard work . In the light of this we see how even the most gracious people need to work hard in order to become successful in life .  

As a man of God his labour or hard work is in prayers , fastings , preaching , evangelism , outreach crusades , travelling to far and remote villages to minister the gospel to sinners and the unreached people and many more . So to answer the question is there something I must do to be successful? Yes work hard one day you will be successful .

2. Studying 

It is equally important to pursue knowledge , that is why studying is a must for anyone who wants to be successful in life . You have to learn in many ways the different courses available for you to know in any field of endeavour you are expecting success from . All successful people know one or two things that made them successful . Life is a classroom , you have to study to know before you can update yourself with the current affairs , businesses, projects, works , jobs , services etc that are in demand by the consumers .

 Secondly , you need to learn in many ways how to make new products or render services that will bring you success . These are the two main reasons why you are supposed to study or make your education a lifetime affair  . The bible even affirms “ Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15

There is the saying that “ readers are leaders “ this actually is true for all “ leaders are readers “  If  you cannot study enough you cannot lead enough . So it is important that you should learn , either formal , informal , virtual or online courses will build you up and take you far in your pursuit of success pursuit .

So to answer the question “ is there something I must do to be successful “ Yes study things that you can do in life that will yield the profit of success . 

3. Praying 

Prayer has been the spiritual backbone of most successful people , this is because there are spiritual forces that militate against your pursuit of success . Prayer is a divine invitation for God to intervene in our lives . Without prayer God is not invited , what is more , satan will be the only entity ruling your affairs to bring failure . 

“ Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world “ 1 Peter 5:8-9 The devil is an adversary to your success journey , he will fight with all the spiritual means to devour your success . So in prayer we are able to resist the devil , so that we can prosper .

Yeshua emphasise on the need of prayer for success said “ Watch and pray “ Matthew 26:41 , and at one time , he said “ Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8

There are at times when you feel like you have everything humanly possible , yet to no avail , that is when you need God to intervene . So you ask him in prayer to help you do what your human effects could not do , by so doing you are opening the door for God to come in and help you . Prayer will help you surmount all the predicament that limit success minded people like you . 

4. Right Relationship

Having the right relationship is very imperative. The right relationship involves two things .Firstly, relating with the right kind people , and secondly, treating the people around you the right way .People's resources for success cannot be underestimated in any way , that is having a right relationship is a prerequisite for success. 

If you want to be successful in life , one of the things you must do is to value people relationship . You must know how to choose the people that you relate with and how you relate with them in all ramifications . You must have the right discernment when choosing people who will be around you , talk to you , work with you or for you , lover { wife or husband } , friends , counsel you and so forth .

If you surround yourself with the right people , they can serve as promoters or shields for your success empire . The right people will push you up on the ladder of success , whilst the wrong people will pull you down . The right people will build you up to become successful , whilst the wrong people will demolish your success projects .

The right people will give the right counsel , the wrong people will give you evil counsel . We will use King Rehoboam, the successor of King Solomon as a case study . This king did not handle the kingdom of Israel successfully due to the association with the wrong people and the bad treatment he gave to the people around him . As a result in his days the kingdom of Israel was divided .   

“ 3So they sent for Jeroboam, and he and all Israel went to Rehoboam and said to him: 4“Your father put a heavy yoke on us, but now lighten the harsh labor and the heavy yoke he put on us, and we will serve you.”5Rehoboam answered, “Come back to me in three days.” So the people went away.6Then King Rehoboam consulted the elders who had served his father Solomon during his lifetime. “How would you advise me to answer these people?” he asked.7 They replied, “If you will be kind to these people and please them and give them a favourable answer, they will always be your servants.”8But Rehoboam rejected the advice the elders gave him and consulted the young men who had grown up with him and were serving him. 9He asked them, “What is your advice? How should we answer these people who say to me, ‘Lighten the yoke your father put on us’?”10The young men who had grown up with him replied, “The people have said to you, ‘Your father put a heavy yoke on us, but make our yoke lighter.’ Now tell them, ‘My little finger is thicker than my father’s waist. 11My father laid on you a heavy yoke; I will make it even heavier. My father scourged you with whips; I will scourge you with scorpions.’ ”12Three days later Jeroboam and all the people returned to Rehoboam, as the king had said, “Come back to me in three days.” 13The king answered them harshly. Rejecting the advice of the elders, 14 he followed the advice of the young men and said, “My father made your yoke heavy; I will make it even heavier. My father scourged you with whips; I will scourge you with scorpions.” 15So the king did not listen to the people, for this turn of events was from God, to fulfil the word the Lord had spoken to Jeroboam son of Nebat through Ahijah the Shilonite.16 When all Israel saw that the king refused to listen to them, they answered the king:“What share do we have in David,what part in Jesse’s son?To your tents, Israel! Look after your own house, David!”So all the Israelites went home. 17 But as for the Israelites who were living in the towns of Judah, Rehoboam still ruled over them.18King Rehoboam sent out Adoniram, who was in charge of forced labor, but the Israelites stoned him to death. King Rehoboam, however, managed to get into his chariot and escape to Jerusalem. 19So Israel has been in rebellion against the house of David to this day.” 2 Chronicles 10:3-19

6. Skilful 

Learn how to be skilful in your handiwork , or the services you provide . Invest in doing the best ,do not just try to do things anyhow for your clients  , deploy your best of skill . When you put in your best to render services or products , consumers will easily recommend your services or products to new clients or customers .

As much as possible, improve on your working skills by creating new ideas , new designs, being innovative , new products , or doing new courses to sharpen your skills for more opportunities in your field of profession . 

7.New Ventures  

Try to initiate new ventures, businesses, products or streams of income . It is very important that you always come up with new ideas of investment that will yield profit for you in the near future . You can sell new brands of products , try new stock of goods , open another shop elsewhere , a branch in another locality all for the sake of success .  

This is important because consumers , or clients are usually looking for new things to trial out . Moreso , because there are competitors who are seeking to outdo your brand or product , so that it becomes inferior to the consumers or clients .Trying out new ventures is very helpful for every successful person , to be able to keep up with the growing demands of consumerism and the competitive nature of the market . 

If you do not venture on new business ventures , you will plateau and eventually decline in your business or career venture . The world is constantly updating in many ways including new products , services ,  or goods . That is the reason  you have to also update yourself with new business ventures .

SP 6B : When Will God Help Me ?

 

Another question that probably comes into your thought is '' when will God help me ''  , like he helped others . This question often comes into your mind , whenever you hear someone's testimony of how God helped them to be successful  in life  . 

Indeed some people's testimonies are mind-blogging , and amazing that it makes you eager to have such personal experience of help from above . The fact is there is always a set time for God to help anybody who trusts  him for help when it comes to success . The scriptures declares '' Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.'' Psalm 103 :13

God has his own time table to help you out of your predicament , to favour you in such a way as to bring success into your life . This is what the scriptures refer to as the :” the set time “ , that  is something you ought to know as a child of God . God will not just help you because you need his help , neither will God help you because you ask him for help , or you sow your seed for the help  . 

At times God will not even send the help because you have faith ,Although all the aforementioned factors are a necessary requirement for God’s help. God will only help you when the time is ripe for the help . It is good to pray , fast , sow seed , pray , give or have faith for God to help you , yet to add to all this God only helps us in his time .

The scriptures say that,” He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end “Ecclesiastics 3:11 Anytime you find yourself wondering when will God help you ,you have to realise that God works with time .

The reason being that God wants to bring beauty into your life. When you want God to help you so fast ,in your own set time it makes you desperate . At times you feel disappointed when you are fond of comparing yourself with your colleagues and desiring to be like them .

There are some people whose definition of success is to have it quick , overtake competitors , do more than others , have more than others , do what someone else has done etc.This is a recipe for frustration , especially when you are waiting on God to help you out . Unlike you , God is not in competition with anyone , neither does God do something to impress anybody in any way .    

God takes the glory for whatever he helps you to achieve in life , and for that matter God helps you on his own purpose or agender for your life . That is the reason why God takes time to do whatever he wants to do in your life . Whenever God helps you to become successful , it is for his glory , not yours. Although you are the beneficiary , but all glory goes to God . 

For instance Yeshua prays for God’s help in a way and manner that ascribed all glory to God  “ These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee” John 17:1 Unlike many of us  who miss out on God’s timing , Yeshua knew the answer to the question , “ When will God help me? “ 

That is why he could say emphatically , “ the hour has come “ what hour? The hour to receive help from God to be successful in life . The hour to achieve his dreams , visions and plans in life .There is always an hour ; that is time for success which you have to be aware of , that when that time comes God will send you help like Joseph .

 “ He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:18 Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:19 Until the time that his word came: the word of the Lord tried him.20 The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.21 He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:22 To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.” Psalm 107:17-22 

To answer the question “ when will God help me?” The answer is found in the above scripture  “ Until the time that his word came” When your time comes to receive help from God , “ your word “ will come to helpers like Pharaoh { People in high places who can help you } and God will use them to help you .
