Ref. SP7 : The Success Aptitude

There are aptitudes that  define a successful person . These aptitude of success determines how successful a person could be . Without these aptitudes success will be short circuited  in your life. These are characteristics behavioral qualities that every success minded person exhibits . So in order to be successful one must possess the following success aptitude  :

1. Loving God 

If you love God , it is a great advantage for you in your success pursuit , the word of God  says ,''28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.'' Romans 8:28

It matters so much that you love God , because all things will work together for your good , so that you can be successful . 

2. Loving People 

It is equally important that you love people the same way that you love God , because God will use people to help you succeed in life . Usually some people's success is the fruit of their love for people . Whenever you love people , the same people will  patronize your shop ,buy your products , use your services , to the end you become successful .  

3. Loving Your Work 

Loving your work is a good aptitude that warrants success , so many people do jobs or works that they do not really love , rather they do it for the shake of money . This is not a good aptitude for success , because such people will give up and stop working in no time if the money delays coming .

Whenever , we love our work , we will be committed to do work even in times when the money is not forth coming . They more you love something , the more you put in your best to achieve the best results , that is what brings success  .   

4. Hospitality 

A good hospitality is good for you , if you can entertain strangers very well , although you might not know them , it is a good success virtue . These strangers can become part of your success team , a people who get involve in your business ventures for the common good . Let us consider the following portion of Scripture ,'' Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares ''  Hebrews 13:2

5. Love Learning 

You need to love learning , it has to be part of your lifestyle to be a learner all the days of your . Study books , listen to lectures ,watch teaching videos , do courses , pursue online degrees etc. .Learn from mentors or role models etc . Life is all about learning , no matter your age, education is your portion .      

6. Using your talent 

Using your talent  is one way of becoming successful . When you use the very talent or the thing that you are good at doing best , you will ultimately become successful . 

7. Delivering the best 

Deliver your best to every body , give your best  all the time , sell the best good , produce the best products  , invest in always doing the best or given the best of your services to the the people some day,  some how .  Do not do things anyhow , because you think  the pay  is not good , rather do your best all the time.  

8. Good Customer relations

Good customer relationships help the customer to be free to ask questions or react , Good customer relations is when you treat the customers with love , care , respect , dignity , and honour . This will let them keep coming to your shop , business or  work and keep using your services, as clients and or customers .  

9. Gratefulness 

All success minded people have an aptitude of gratitude . They appreciate the small gifts people give them . They are thankful to people who even do business with them . They do not mind saying , " thank you " to to a customer who comes to buy their goods . They can even go as far as giving gifts, rewards , incentives , or allowances to their employees or customers to show gratitude to them for their loyalty .

Every successful person is given to life a time education , they see life as an education , hence they learn day in and day out . They learn almost all the time , through everything possible , they are able to learn through circumstances , people and experience . One of the surest key to success is never stop learning .The following are among the many ways through which successful people learn : 

 1. Educational Institutions

Educational institutions has been  a great help to success driven people . They enroll in  academical institutions like , universities, colleges, online courses, adult education , home lessons and so on . Most at times they read courses and get degrees that can put them on the top of every organisation .  

2.Through Failures

Successful people see failure as an opportunity to learn best , how to succeed in every pursuit of life . They do not allow the failure to discourage them in any way , rather they mount up with the wings of success to surmount their failures . A person who is determined to succeed in his success pursuit is eager to learn , grow and attain more knowledge in order to reach the level of prominence in life . 

So anytime they fail , they do not give up , but they  encourage themselves for a fresh start , and master the skills to overcome all their challenges . So they learn to succeed big even through failure . 

3. Mistakes

Success driven people know that , they can make a mistake at anytime , but they also realize that mistakes are opportunities to learn all about perfect success . Without mistakes there would not be perfection in a successful life . So our mistakes help us to learn more how to become perfect and blameless .

4. Other people's Mistakes 

Another level of learning is when you learn from the mistakes of other people who has gone ahead of you , in the things that you are pursuing . The things that they did , and their success was messed up ,if you can learn from such things , you become established in success. If you can learn from other people's mistakes , it will save you time , money , energy and resources .

Successful people do not see themselves as infallible or perfect specimen , rather they know that they are susceptible  to do the same mistakes that someone else did , hence they become more careful in order not to fall into the same temptation that will bring mistakes .   

5. Other people's Failure 

They learn through the failures of others , they do analysis on why a person failed , what the person failed in, how the failure came , what the person did wrong that made him fail , how the person handled his failure and what happened to the person afterwards . Then they come to a conclusion what they can do better in order not to fail . 

6. The word of God 

Majority of successful people learn how to be successful by listening to the word of God or reading books written from biblical perspective on success . Truly there is no book in the world that teaches on how to be successful than the word of God .  So if you want to know more about how you can become successful ,please read the bible .Meditate on the following ,

  '' This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. '' Joshua 1:8 

7. Internet Online

Nowadays online courses has made studies more simple to learn , online course  through the internet is easier , safer , less expensive and readily available . So success minded people learn more on the internet , through online courses available . 

8. Research 

Successful people also engage in doing researches , they do search, studies and surveys in order to discover what it takes to make them successful . They do research on products which are on high demand by consumers . And they embark on the production of the same , or the kind of services people really want and learn how to render those services . Thus they become successful producing the kind of product that is on high demand . 

9. News 

Successful people also learn from the news they listen to on the mass media . This means they learn about all the things that matters to their success life through listening to the news . They get updates on what is going on in the system , how they can take advantage of the current affairs and issues to become successful . 

10. Other people's success 

Successful people also learn a lot from the success stories of most successful people . They learn , read, or listen to successful  people and their experience with success . They learn about how the successful people made their success. 

11. Counselling 

Success minded people learn through listening to counselling , they understand that success comes through counseling from other people who are observant to success . Let us consider the affirmation of the scriptures ,  ''Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.'' Proverbs 11:"8

12. Experience  

Experience is another form of learning tool for the success driven person . Any experience we have in life should not be taken for granted , because your experience will one day be a tool for you to learn how successful  you could be . Like the saying goes '' experience is the best teacher .'' 

Ref. SM4 : How A Successful Person See People

People can come around us for so many reasons , some people come around us simply to help us , give us a push in life , while others come around us only to pull us down . Some people come around you to build you up , while others come around to demolish you . People can be used to take you high up on the ladder of success , depending on how you treat , relate and handle them . Successful people have a way of handling people to their own advantage , let us consider how successful people see all people around them .  

 1. Assets

Successful people see people in their sphere of contact as assets , this means the people are more or less their gold mine , which they use to become more successful . Thus they handle people with the uttermost care ; they invest in the people , they give generously to them , pay them well if they are workers , entertain them well if they are guest , handle them more friendly if they are friends . This is because the successful people know that through this people who come around them , they can make more money in their companies .  

2. Customers / Clients 

Successful people see almost every body they come in contact with as potential customers or clients , and for that matter they welcome them warmly . They imagine that one day , such people will be available as their customers who buy their goods or clients who will use their services and pay them . 

What successful people know about people is that everybody can become a customer or client in the near future . Thus they treat them with the uttermost care .

3. Consumers

Successful people see all the people around them as their potential consumers for their products . So with every product they produce , they have in mind that such people will be the consumers for their products . Without consumers , your product is worthless , that is why if you want to bring any product into the market you must consider  the people who are the potential consumers , so that your product will yield profit . Because of this , the success minded person have the interest of the people at heart when making a new product into the market .

4.  Labourers

The success minded person see people as potential labourers for their work , company or organisation . They know that , they might need the services of labourers who will work for their projects to be built or completed . And those labourers might include the people in their sphere of contact , so the successful  people are very kind to such people .     

5.Business partners 

Success minded people see people around them at times as potential business partners , who can help them succeed in their business ventures . Business partners are the people that can go into a business agreement with you , whereby you become a shareholder in their business or vice versa . 

6. Advertisers 

Success minded people see people around them as potential advertisers who will help campaign their products or businesses . Advertisers tell people about your product , your business, or the services you render . People around you can do this advertising work for you even without you paying them , if you have cordial relations with them . They  simply recommend you , your product , business or services to potential clients, customers , consumers etc. and through their influence your business will grow .

7. Promoters

Successful people often times might see people around them to be promoters who will introduce them and what they do to people , and that is very important for the onset of any business . That is why every success minded person sees the people around them as potential promoters to their success ventures . So successfully people treat all the people around them with respect , honour and dignity . By so doing they are able to influence people who will be promoters for them . 

8. Mentors 

Successful people know that they cannot really make it to the top without mentors who will counsel , advise , instruct , coach and give them directions , as to how to get things done in the right proportion for success . So they see the people around them at times as potential mentors who can influence them to be successful .

9. Role models 

A successful person also sees people as the role model , this means that kind of people who are doing things worth emulating . So the success minded person seeks to become like them some day in the near future . So the success minded person learns from successful people, and their success stories keeps them going in the same direction of success .  

10. Helpers 

All successful people need help in one way or the other at one time or the other in their pursuit of success . So a success minded person sees people around them as their potential helpers in the journey of success . Hence , he or she builds healthy relationship with them , so that in case they need their help , such people can readily render a help without hesitation .

11. Team members   

Successful people know that they cannot succeed being alone , they need to work at times with a team work . So at times they see the people around them as team members who can team up with him or her for success . The success minded person does not mind paying people to be involved in the team work of success .

Successful people are people  achieving their aims in life , however there are somethings they do quite different from the ordinary people . Success do not just come to people , they work on their success .All successful people are very industrious, that means they work a lot to achieve their dream of success . The following are some of the things the successful people do to have success ;

 1. They work on their vision

Successful people are dreamers , this means they have visions of future reality , that they are working on . In a real sense , they do somethings on purpose to arrive at their vision . They work on their vision in so many ways , they do things , they study on the vision , they  say things about the vision , they engage people about the vision , they spend on the vision , they pray about the vision , campaign about the vision and do all it takes to make the vision a reality .

2. They work on themselves 

Successful people also work on themselves , this means they improve on themselves , in order to be able to do what it takes to be successful . Working on themselves includes studying courses , learning a handicraft , undergoing training , doing frequent practices, doing exercises , praying , waiting on God , studying the word of God . etc. 

3.  They work on their assets 

Successful people work on their assets , this means they take care of things or people that are being used as assets . What they use to make revenue is their assets , these include , machines , people , money , vehicles, buildings , lands , tools , shops , goods , devices etc  

Working on your assets involves spending money , to improve on it , to maintain it or to get more assets . This is necessary for more production to take place without breakdown . 

4. They work on goals 

Successful people always set new goals , that they will like to achieve , within a given period of time . Achievement of new goals in addition to the past achievement is what produces a renewed success . They are doing things to be able to reach the goals they have set .  In essence they don't just work they work hard to reach their goal within a time frame . Thus , they do not relax , retire, rest or pause until they reach their goal . 

For instance , a production factory can set a goal of producing 1000 bottles of coke daily , this means they do not close work until they reach that goal, , thus they work on their goals per day . 

5. They always have new visions

Successful people don't retire when it comes to visions or dreams , they always have new visions in their pursuit , so after achieving a vision , they develop a new vision and work on it . They are never free from work , because they are not vision-less , they can go on break ,go on leave ,  or pause for holidays  . But as soon as they resume , they come back to work on their vision . 

6. They work on new projects 

With new vision in view , the success minded person will work on new project for the purpose of achieving new vision . This means they are always working on new buildings , inventions, device, fashion ,software , branch , machine etc. 

This makes their success progressive , in that they do not relax , because they have able to complete one project , they work on a new one so as to achieve continuous success .

7. They spend less on themselves

Successful people do not delight in spending much on extravagant lifestyle , rather they spend more on their business and assets . They spend less on themselves , they do not buy too much expensive clothing or cars for their personal use , unless it is absolutely necessary . 

8. They invest more of their revenue , 

The success minded people are always looking for business ventures to invest their money . They do not spend all their revenue, rather they take delight in investing it into gainful businesses , that will yield profit for them in the near future .

9. They are always looking for  new opportunities

The successful people are always looking and searching for new ways of making more progress, money , or success in their area of pursuit . They do more research looking for  new areas of business opportunities ,where they will explore their success vision . 

10. They do more than one  work / business /branch/product

Successful people do not do only one job or business , they engage in different businesses, jobs , shops , branches, companies, products , fashions , brands , etc . They do so in order to circumvent bankruptcy , economical meltdown , liquidation  ,stagnation,  retrogression ,and business collapse . They do more businesses in order to produce multiple stream of income , this means their money comes from different sources all the time .

11. They work hard 

All successful people are workaholics , they work from dawn to dust in order to arrive at their success adventure . They do not  entertainment laziness ,laxity, procrastination and the like . They work hard  at their full capacity to accomplish their vision .This is scriptural principle , the bible says '' In all labour there is profit: But the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury. '' Proverbs 14:23

12. They sleep less

Most successful people do not sleep much , they sleep less than the ordinary person , they engage in more hours of working than sleep . This is because they have a burden of  success, and as such their sleep is taking from them  .Most at times they work on their visions, dreams , business ventures using some of their sleep hours . 

They take delight in working overtime , just to reach their goals of the day , week , month , or year .Truly this confirms the word of God ,that says  ''Love not sleep, lest you come to poverty; open your eyes, and you will have plenty of bread.'' Proverbs 20:13 

13 . They pray more 

Most successful people pray a lot , the work is not enough without prayer , they achieve a lot through prayer and the word of God . Successful people also have their testimonies of labouring in vain without the help of God , so they also engage in prayer or get some pastors who support them in prayers .    

14. They give out donations /offerings / tithes 

Successful people are givers , they give more than they take from people, so they don't work just to feed themselves . Most successful people are bread winners for their families, friends, loved ones, ,orphans , communities ,nations, churches, pastors etc . Most successful people brand themselves as philanthropist , who give out to the needy in society , usually they set up a foundation alongside their businesses , just to help the poor and underprivileged .

 They take pleasure in giving out offerings , tithes , donations, alms , gifts ,  etc . They see giving as a way of invoking more success, this is surely true according to the word of God , 

‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’' Acts 20 35

''Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.'' Luke 6:38

15. They always Learn new things 

Successful people see themselves as learners, they see education as a way to success , so they  never get tired of learning new ways of doing business ,or new products that they can produce . They keep doing new courses or pursuing degrees , that can take them to the next level .

16. They pay their employees promptly

Successful people know that one of their assets in making more money , having more success is their workers ,or employees , so they take delight in paying them well and on time . They even give the most hard workers rewards , gifts , incentives, allowances, promotion, working benefits etc . just to keep them in their companies . In essence they hire and pay people to earn more money for them , in the business ventures . 

17. They are frugal 

 Most successful people are very frugal in their expenditure , they are spend thrifty  . They do not waste their resources , they do not buy what will be in excess , they do cook more food than they can eat , neither do they delight in throwing away leftover food . They do not hoard up things that they do not need , they are skilled in using the surplus to make do with something .

Frugality is a principle of gathering the crumbs , the leftover , the pieces , the fragments and making use of them . Like Jesus loaves of bread ,'' And they all ate and were satisfied. And they took up twelve baskets full of the broken pieces left over. '' Matthew 14:20 

18. They take responsibility for their success adventure 

Successful people are responsible for their own success , they take responsibility for their pursuit of success . They will not steal, lie, fraud , kill and take over what does not belong to them , in order  to be successful ,rather they take responsibility over what they want to do and make sure that they do it somethings towards success .

They do what they have to do , say what they have to say , go where they need to go ,learn what they need to know , get what they need to get , buy what they need to buy , pay what they have to pay for, acquire what they need to acquire , and discharge their duties wholly .   This is what is termed as taking responsibility for success . 

19. They take charge of the situation 

Successful people take charge of their situation , they work on issues they are suppose to work on . Do things they are expected to do , they take the lead in a  group where no one is willing to  , they react to any situation  without shifting the blame on anyone else . 

They take the front line  in battle fields , when other people are stepping down out of fear  , they step forward and take over . 

20. They are always pursuing their success vision .

Successful people are always doing things in such a way as to achieve their success , whatever they do , wherever  they go , whoever they associate with , whatever they learn , whatever they watch is all targeted at their success aim . 

21. They don't give up when they fail 

Successful people can also fail, be disappointed , rejected , disapproved, dismissed, dishonoured , fall ,etc. But they don't give up in life when that happens , rather , they mount up with wings and start again . The number of times they fail does not discourage them in any, what matters to them is the number of times they rise up .     The scriptures affirm , '' for the righteous falls seven times and rises again...''  Proverbs 24:16   ''

22. They take risk 

Successful people do not fear taking business risk , the fear of loosing can stop you from making business ventures . After all in business there are two things ; gain or loss , you gain sometimes very big , but at times you loose . So during the times of losses your gain should supplement for the loss .

In that sense successful people do not mind taking risk in life as a whole , they are fearless when pursuing success . They are so preoccupied with success to the extend that they do not have time to entertain  fear or dread . They dare to venture into any business that the ordinary person will entertain fear and would not dare to do it .    

23. They do investments

Successful people do a lot of investment in the name of success  , They invest time , money ,raw material, fuel , skill,  energy, people , salaries, equipment etc, and all it takes to succeed in their success life . Without investment , there is nothing to gain. Investment is the seed of success . Success is the fruits of investments , all successful people do sow the seed of success , which is investment .

24. They solve problems 

All successful people are problem solvers , that is how they make their money . They render services to solve people's problems and they are paid for that . Or they produce products for consumers who who have a problem of what to consume , so they end up solving the problems and then  they { the successful people } get paid . If you want to be successful , look for a solution to the many problems of the people . Consider the  needs of the people and try to meet that need for a fee or price and then you will become successful .

25. They Do The Best 

Successful people deliver their best , so that they can be successful in life , they produce the best product , they render a a good service to their clients . Successful people work on delivering the best whether the pay is good or not , so that they can get more customers, clients , or consumers to purchase their products or use their services . 

If you are good or your product is good is not enough , until it becomes the best or one of the best in town , that is what brings success . When no one can outdo you in production or services , you are always needed. You should know that being the best or doing the best is necessary because , we live in a world of competition in the market  .

26. They meditate a lot 

Successful people do a lot of meditation , this helps them to have fresh ideas , plans , and thoughts in order to arrive at a decision making that will produce success . Every successful person knows how to go into deep meditation ; sit down quietly alone while you use your mind to ponder , calculate , and make decisions .

27 . Successful People Do not Work Alone 

All successful people have discovered that  they cannot succeed all alone by themselves , so they are  engaged in  team works , partnership ,or hire labourers into the work . This brings completion to any business endeavour .Working alone produces minimal results , while working with a team ,partnership , or labourers,  produces  maximum success .

7''For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.''

Proverbs 23:7

 Every successful person person is a thinker , thus they meditate a lot  . This brings them to a level of perception that produces their success dreams , a means to the dream , and how to maintain the outcome of the dream . Thinking is one of the greatest capacity of creation  that God gave to human beings , without thinking the human race will not be able to discover who they are and what God has created them to be and do .

In fact it is sinful if we don't think , because even animals do make use of their brains by thinking , that is how God created us to be , thinkers . To think is to use your brain to solve problems . Thinking is a mental calculation that brings us to a level  where we arrived at an answer . That is why every human being is trained to think , even in school , anytime you are given an examination it is the test of your brain . 

How you use your brain determines the success of your exams , therefore how you use your brain also determines how successful you become in life . Success thoughts are the ideas that come into your mind as you use your brain to ponder , wonder , calculate,  answer  questions, meditate and decide the next course of action . The following are the 40 questions that must come into your " success thoughts " that can help you become successful in life . These questions needs answers , how correctly you answer them will determine in part how successful you become in your pursuit of success. 

1. Who Created Me ? 

The answer to this question will define your self  worth , when you found out that no matter how good or bad you see yourself  or  people see you , you are the handiwork of God . The fact that God created you the way you , means that you are qualified to succeed in life . 

  '' I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. '' Psalm 139 :14 

You are not an accidental pregnancy , you are not just a mere human , you are not just the product of your family , but you are wonderfully made by God .Don't unnecessarily assume that you will be like your father or end up like your mother , or that because you come from a particular family , you will be like them . Or perhaps there is a pattern of failure in your family , no one has been successful in that regard , so that might be your thought . Let this be your mindset  '' I am fearfully and wonderfully made ''  by God for success .

 2. Why Was I Created ? 

'' For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. ''  The reason for your existence  is determined by the word of God , and nothing else . Your pass experience should not defined the reason why God created you .

If you experience a vicious circle of failure that does not mean that God created you for that , or that you are not meant to be successful in life . Always have this positive thought in your heart ,I am  '' created in Christ Jesus for good works ''

3. Can God Help Me ?

” So we may boldly say: 'The Lord is my helper;I will not fear. What can man do to me ? ' Hebrew 13 : 6 When you reach a point of thinking where you feel helpless , you should know that God can help you to be successful in your pursuit . Just aim for the help of God , believe in God to help and pray for his help . 

Without the help of God satan can frustrate your success endeavours  , so ultimately you can do everything right , but it is only the help of God that will establish you in success .

4. Will God Help Me ?

Another anxious thought , is when you are in doubt of God's eagerness to help a person like you . Perhaps because of your sins , you think that God is far from helping you or that God has forsaken you . But the truth is that God is seeking to help you overcome your sins and failures in life . The scriptures declares ;  '' if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land '' 2 Chronicles 7: 14 

If you need the help of God , repent of your sins and ask God for forgiveness , and then amend your evil ways . After that ask God in prayer to help you in your success journey . 

5. Why Is God Not Helping Me ?

'' I will lift up my eyes to the hills ,From whence comes my help? 2My help comes from the Lord,Who made heaven and earth. '' Psalm 121 :1-2

Whenever you think  that you have done everything right , yet God is not helping you ,you should understand that God works with time . Or that God brought some help that you probably rejected or despise because it was seemingly small  , or yet still you abuse the human medium that God used to help you . Or you neglected  the talent, gift, work or money that God wants to use to help you . 

When you are prodigal in spending , you wastes all the resources that God gives to you to help you prosper and succeed in life . If you manage the little revenue,income,gifts , money, space ,capital,  job, etc.  that comes your way , you will see that God is actually helping you in life . 

6. When Will God Help Me ?

Another question that probably comes into your thought is '' when will God help me ''  , like he helped others . This question often comes into your mind , whenever you hear someone's testimony of how God helped them to be successful  in life  . 

Indeed some people's testimonies are mind blogging , and amazing that it makes you eager to have such personal experience of help from above . The fact is there is always a set time for God to help anybody who trust  him for help when it comes to success . The scriptures declares '' Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.'' Psalm 103 :13

7. Is There Something I Can Do To Be Successful ?

Certainly there is , if you never did something to succeed in life , you are not successful , all that have success in life , did one thing or the other to achieve success . There is a lot you can do as a person in order to succeed . So you don't sit down and fold arms thinking one day you will stumble on success miraculously or success '' manna''  will fall from heaven .

God wants us to do somethings in order to be successful , the scripture says , '' Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.'' 

Take notice of the phrase ''  be careful to do everything ''  , so you can do everything that successful people do according to the word of God and you will be successful .

8. What Time Should I Do It ?

Whatever you want to do to be successful , should not wait for any perfect conditions , in order to start doing it , otherwise  you will never get to do that thing . The only perfect time is your maturity ,but with that you should know that no one is ever matured enough to be successful unless they start training or working on their future success . That is why we send our kids to school when they are young , so they can learn how to do things to succeed in this world . 

So do not wait for someone who has promised to help you , or to have big money , or win a lottery ,or  to travel abroad ,or  have a big capital , a large space, a better job ,  etc , but rather start doing something on your own . When you start doing little things on your on own , you are promoting yourself to a level of success with the help of God .

9. Is It The Will Of God For Me To Be Who I Am ?

'' Who am I ? '' and '' is it the will of God for me to be who I am ? '' To me this is one of the  most important questions about yourself that will help you to have your healthy self image about who you are . If your self identification is clear , then you can build confidence to pursuing success .For instance '' Am black and it is the perfect will of God for me ''.

It is the will God , because God created me black . In this sense to desire to be any other race  , either than black will impede my success level . This is because I will always use it as an excuse not to embark on any success adventure that comes my way , especially where there are racial competitions .  

On the other if I discover that , who I am is not God's will , because he did not create me that way , then it is a cause for me to strive to become who God wants me to be . If you see that '' you are a drunk '' it is something that is against the will of God for your life ,and you should not accept it . Compare yourself to word of God and you will discover yourself ; who you are according to the word of God .

'' For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. '' James 1: 23-25

10. Is It The Will of God For Me To Be Where I Am ?

Where are you in life ? which location are ? which level are you ? Is it God that has brought me this far ? If these questions are answered well , then we should understand that  , we are heading towards some where or we not going any where at all . Progress in life is determined by where you start from . 

If you discover that where you are presently and what you are doing presently is not the will of God for you , then you should get ready to move to the place where God has designed for you and do the things that God wants you to do . For instance if you a prostitute , staying at the brothel , you should know that it is not the will of God for your life . Or if you are a fraudster , staying with the gang of fraudsters , you should know that it is not the will of God for you .  

11. Is It The Will of God For Me To Do What Am Doing Now ?

Don't just do things because other people are succeeding by doing it ,but rather do what pleases God , that is the will of God for your life . When you do what God wants you to do , you become successful , try as much as possible to discover what God wants you to do or the will of God for your life and start doing the same , then you shall succeed doing it .  

12. Have I Done Something Wrong ?

At times you need to  try to recuperate  whether you have done something sinful or not , Do a recollection into the past , to remember any past sins, offenses , mistakes , misconduct, disrespect, theft, adultery , rape , abortion , hurting people , abusing people, maltreating someone , lied against someone, abandoned a pregnancy , etc. 

These past misdeeds can go along way to hinder your success in life, you have to amend your ways , by confession , restitution  and asking the offended party and or God to forgive you .The scriptures declares , ''If I regard iniquity in my heart,The Lord will not hear.'' Psalm 66:18 

13.   Am I In The Wrong Place ?

Are you in the right place; environment , that God would like you to be , or you are in the wrong place altogether ? Being in the wrong place , is like light having fellowship with darkness .as the scriptures declares , 

'' 14.Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what [d]fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what [e]communion has light with darkness? 15And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? 16And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you[f] are the temple of the living God. As God has said:“I will dwell in themAnd walk among them.I will be their God,And they shall be My people.”17Therefore“Come out from among themAnd be separate, says the Lord.Do not touch what is unclean,And I will receive you.”18“I will be a Father to you,And you shall be My sons and daughters,Says the Lord Almighty.”  2 Corinthians 6:14-18

For instance if you are working at the night club , you need to come out from among them and be separate , if you are in the gang of armed robbery , come out from their company . There are some environment that repels your success , you need to leave some wrong environment , so that you can be free indeed to be successful . 

14. Am I With  The Wrong Person ? 

This question will help you know , the kind of person who you see as your best friend , partner , companion , peer or relative that is so close to you that , you cannot take any decision without consulting him. More often than not they seem to mean everything to you that if the person is evil , or gives evil counsel you end up taking the wrong decision that can destroy your success .

Always make sure that the very person close to you is a good influence and not a bad influence in your success life . A good influence is the right person that motivates , inspires , encourages , advises and counsel you not to give up in your pursuit in life . A good influence can be used as a destiny helper for your life to be successful .   

15. What Have I Done To Circumvent My Challenges In Life ?

There is no life without challenges , all successful people  have face challenges in their lives , in one way or the other . What you do in order to circumvent that challenging situation is what matters . So back  to the question , '' What have you done by your own effect to overcome your challenges ? '' Please don't sit down and fold arms because you think , it is someone's responsibility to help you in life for you to be successful .

Try to do something in your level best , to overcome all the predicaments on your way to success . There is always something you can do on your own , by your own , for your own good with the help of God . ''I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.'' Philippines 4:13 

16. Who Are My Friends ?

Friends can influence our lives very greatly , to a very far extent our friends can determine our choices in life , hence they can be a source of failure or success . So if you want to be successful you need to surrender yourself with friends who are success minded people . Try as much as possible to avoid some kind of friends who seem to demotivate you in your pursuit of success .

These type of friends make mockery of your dreams or visions , they tell you by their words and actions that you cannot do it or be it . They see you as not qualified to succeed in anything , they think that since you are their colleague , '' birds of the same feathers flock together '' and as such you will be a failure or end up like them . As much as possible associate yourself with people who are like minded as you ; they equally want to be successful in life and they are pursuing it . 

17. Who Are My Role Models ? 

Role models are the people who you see as successful and wish to be as successful as they are . This means that you are looking up to them and probably wants to walk in their footsteps , so you study from their life experience and their achievements .

Everything you wants to do in life , there is always somebody who has done a similar thing before . So you need to have somebody that you should be observing the lifestyle , the success stories , read the books , learn his or her  ways . Our number one  role model is Jesus Christ , our Lord , apart from that you can learn from anybody you see as your success role model .

18 . Who Are My mentors ?

You need to have mentors , these are your life coach or instructors , they give you instructions , directions, counsel , teachings , doctrines , lectures , preaching sermons, advise etc, on the way of success . You need to have success mentors in your area of pursuit , you can connect to mentors through ,listening to their teachings from far or near , by reading their books or watching their shows or videos , or listening to their audio performance .

Mentors can be close or far from you , what matters is if you are learning something from them that will make you successful in life  .Now back to the question , who are your mentors in life ? Make sure you follow mentors , who can coach you to be successful in life . 

19. Who Can Counsel Or Advise Me ?

Who counsels or advises  you anytime you want to make decisions . Is there somebody who can speak a word or two to advise you as to what to do or the next step to take in life . The personality of your counselor matters a lot , a person can only advise you at his or her level . 

You need people who have a qualified personality, credibility, and character worth emulating to be your counselor . This type of counselor can give you a sound counsel . Just pause and meditate for a moment ,and you will  realized  whoever is counselling you has been able to influence most of your decisions in life . So a person who advises you has been either bad or a good influence in your success life . 

You don't need someone who always demotivate you in your success pursuit , you need someone whose advise always motivates you to do the right thing toward success  . 

20. What Is My Core Value In Life ?  

Every human being has core values , they are things that matters to you most , there are three principal core values of people ,

1. Money 

2. Love and relationship

3. Entertainment 

These three things are what drives their actions and works . However, as a child of God your core value has to be the word of God or your worship of God . There are other things that people may value , although not all core value are important , yet some core values can help a person , to be successful . 

When you value your work , above money ,love and  relationship , or entertainment , you can be successful . To be successful you must value your job , so you can invest more time , money , energy and resources into it . Successful people place a very high value on their work , so they can invest their resources like time, energy , money  etc  into it . Ultimately they end up being successful in life .

21. What Is My Talent { gift } ?

You need to know your God given talent , something that you are capable of doing well . This is what you are best at doing that can go along way to give you revenue . Talent is gift that is within your fingertips ,an innate ability that is naturally built within you .

Discovery of talent is the sure way  to success , what you can do best , when it starts to give you profit , it is your way to prosperity and success . 

22. Am I using my talent { gift } ?

Many people have ignored their talents , because of wrong emulation , seeking to prosper through the same means as someone else . Instead of using their talent very well , they seem to bury their talents , because they are impatient enough to nurture it and make it mature enough to give them ' dividends '.  

'' 15 To one he gave five talents,[b] to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability. Then he went away. 16 He who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them, and he made five talents more. 17 So also he who had the two talents made two talents more. 18 But he who had received the one talent went and dug in the ground and hid his master's money '' Matthew 25:15-18

In this parable we see people making profit with their talents , by using it profitably , while another one seem to despise their own talent as if it so small and deem it insignificant to bring success into their lives . Successful people are very skilled in using their talents to make profit and that is how they become prosperous in their success adventure . 

23 . What Relationship Do I Have With People ?

Relationships with people is one of the keys to success in life ,and can also be one of the reasons some people fail in life . The type of relationship with people is what matters , your association with people is a promoter of your gift ,when one or two people discover your gift , they are able to tell or recommend your resourcefulness to others , who in turn will introduce you to others and that is how you become successful .

If you do not have a healthy relationship with the people that matters when it comes to success , you will find it difficult succeeding in your pursuit . You need a healthy relationship with your co-workers ,customers, clients , agents , contractors ,  readers, followers , friends , relatives , spouse , church members, students , classmates , teachers , Landlord , users , etc. 

These are the people that you make your success from ,you make more money because they patronize your goods or use your services and pay you for . 

24. What Is My Aptitude Towards People ? 

Like the saying goes '' your aptitude determines your altitude '' , if you are hostile ,  unfriendly , disrespectful , or treat people disdainfully , it can go a long way to affect your success pursuit. A person can only go as far as his aptitude can determined . 

25. How Do People Define My Character ? 

How do people see, define, and characterize my  behaviour ,people can see you as kind , stingy , abusive , sad, happy , lazy , hard working , humble, proud , calm , talkative , peaceful ,quarrelsome,  etc. 

People involvement with you and your business brings success , however , if your character drives away people , then you should work on your character , so that you can be successful .

26 . Am I A Good Person ?

Can you say that you are a good or bad person , can you  see yourself the way people see you, Because who you are is best defined by others . Who a person is, is  defined by friends , relatives, workers, customers, co-tenant  ,pastors and finally  God . God said  about David '' David is a man after my heart '' God said ,  about Job '' A perfect and  upright man that fears God , who eschews evil ,'' 

If people see you as a good person it is a success factor ,because they would do business with you  ,on the other hand if they don't see you as a good person  , it shuts many doors of opportunities against you .                                                        

27. Am I A Bad Person ?

Can you see yourself as wicked ,bad ,or evil person ,this too would have a negative effect on your success pursuit . Try to avoid  doing things that will tarnish your healthy image , thereby painting a bad picture of you , 

28 . How Do People See Me ? 

The way people see you might be true somehow ,so try to take note of it , amend your ways if they see you as bad , because of one or two things they see about you , this can affect your success , because they might not give any good recommendation about you to people who might need your services . 

29 . What Do People Think of Me ? 

What people think of me is equally important as what they see you to be. They think so about you because of your appearance , the way you eat , drink ,drive ,talk , dress etc. will give people first impression about you . 

What people think about you can effect their business interaction with you , so if you can do something to change a  wrong perception about  you , please do . 

30. How Do I See People ? 

How you see people around you also matters because you tend to treat people the way you see them to be. Your workers , employees, clients, customers , consumers .

If you can see people around you as an asset to your success adventure , you will see ways and means to generate profit through their influence . 

31. How Do I Treat People ? 

The way you treat people , determines how far you go with people , people must be treated as the image of God . You must treat people around you as your success making machine . Relate with them well , treat them like gold . because human beings  are the greatest gold mines .Do not abuse any person you are meeting for the first time ,do not maltreat anybody because he is your worker or you pay them .Do not abuse your customers no matter the offense , remember the saying '' customers are always right. '' Do not abuse strangers , because you think you don't know them, they are one of the greatest assets you could have . 

32. Am I Friendly or Hostile To People ? 

You need to know whether or not you are hostile , or friendly and accommodating . If you are hostile to people , they might not do business with you , and loosing one person is like 10,000 people . Studies have shown that the every human being influences at least 10,000 people in his or her lifestyle .

All the people that the person influences {10,000 } can be your potential customers , clients or business partners .Every human being counts to every successful person , treating people  well will open doors of success . Because the people will get involve with the work , job . business and everything that you do.   

33. What Is My Aptitude Towards Work ? 

Right aptitude towards work , is another sure way of success, how do you see your work ? how committed are you to your work ? Do you see it as your source of income , do you see work  as a responsibility that you are obliged to or something to just get by .See your kind of work as your way to success ,so you can be fully committed 

34. Am I lazy or Hard  Working ?

How do you see yourself in relationship with your work , are you hard working or a lazy person. God can bless you , but hard work is a prerequisite for the blessing of success . Laziness is an aptitude of laxity , hard working is an aptitude of seriousness . All successful people are workaholics . The word of God even admonishes us to work hard in this portion of scriptures, '' Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.''  Ecclesiates 9:10

35. Do I Work Without Supervision or Under Supervision ?

Successful people can work with less or no supervision at all . This means they do not wait for someone to to tell them ,do this , do that , go there , stay here , take that , or take this . This is because they have foresight and insight , so they know what to do and how to do it { because they have learned }, and they are not lazy in doing it . This is because they know how successful they will be if they do it .  

36 . What Are My Resources ?

You need to know the resources at hand , and what you can use them for in order to be successful .

 The first resources is your brain , for learning , thinking , planning and decision making . 

The second resource is your hands {or gifts }, this is one of the greatest resources because you make use of your hands or gift whenever you are working .   

The third resources is people around you , people resources should not be neglected in any way , all successful people make use of people around them ,thus they invest in people ,and use the same people as a means to their success destination .People resources include , parents , siblings , family members , , employees , employers , friends , neighbours ,church members , customers, passengers ,labourers, clients, students , lecturers etc. 

, The forth resources is money , yes the bible says '' money answers all things  '' Ecclesiastes 10:19 So you see money plays an important role when it comes to success , if you have little money , that you can use it to invest in any business venture , success can be your portion . 

The fifth resources is a place, it is important for the farmer who have seeds to sow to also get a place { land} to farm  . In the same vein the successful person needs a geographical location , for business success . It is not any place that you can succeed , you need a fertile environment for success to be achievable .

The six resource for success is education , if you have opportunity to be educated do not dandle it any way . Many people have become successful because they had the chance to be educated, on the contrary a lot of people have failed in life because they are illiterate . So an opportunity to learn is a great resource for success .Unlearned people have always failed in their success pursuit .     

37. How Do I Manage My Resources ?

Every successful person knows how to manager the little resources that are available for him or her . Learn how to manage and use the little resources available to make things work in your life . Do not wait for big resources or perfect resources , start with the little in a little way , as you grow gradually into success . Genuine  success is not instantaneous , it is a gradual process you grow step by step into it.  

38. How Do I See Myself ?

How you see yourself is more important than the way people see you . You need to see yourself in a positive way ,for instance ,'' am a success '', '' am capable '' , ''am blessed '' , '' am not a failure '' , '' am on the top '' '' am intelligent '' ,'' am wise '' ,'' am rich '' ''am strong '' ''am a man ''  '' am a woman '' '' am a bread winner '' '' am a man of God '' etc . Having the right perspective about yourself will help you to know your success destination . Who you claim to be , is where you will strive to be . 

39 . Am Are Rich or Poor ? 

 How you answer this question will determine your success destination , remember the definition of success '' Reaching a predetermine destination of achievement '' .If I say that  '' am rich '' then I must work on it , and see to it that my riches will be actualize . This means I measure myself with the yard stick of riches , therefore I must attain to that level of riches by working on myself . In that case I have an assignment to do in order to become wealthy ,and that is the story of all successful people .

40. Do I Depend On Someone or Am Independent ?    

Now this is the first runner up of success , when you are independent . If you come to a level in life where you become totally independent on anyone else , except God . Then you are at the verge of success , that means you are almost there . However you need to be seen as successful or the winner , that is when people begin to depend on you . 

This is the highest level of success ,like Joseph's success ; his family and a whole nation became dependent on him and he fed them all .You are not yet successful if no one depends on you for feeding , clothing , shelter , provision , money etc.
